We the staff of the Tooele County Sheriff’s Office are pleased to learn of your interest in the operating procedures of the Tooele County Detention Center.

We encourage citizens, who are interested, to tour our facility.  It allows us to let the people we serve learn and observe what occurs behind the walls.

When approved for a tour, we ask that the following rules be observed:

1. No more than 15 members allowed per group.
2. All tours must arrive at least 10 minutes prior to scheduled tour time.
3. Tours may be cancelled, delayed, or interrupted at any time for security purposes.
4. No children under the age of 7 years old will be allowed to tour this facility.
5. Conversing with the inmates is prohibited.
6. No pocketknives or weapons of any type are allowed, and will be confiscated if found.
7. No pictures or recording devices are allowed.
8. All tour members must remain in their group during the tour.
9. All persons under the age of 18 must have the consent of their parents (listed on the consent form) before entering the facility.
